Hiring - Social Media Manager

Social Media Manager

Part-time  ·  Fully remote  ·  Brand & Communications

About Orange Juice

ORANGE JUICE is a permanent-capital acquisition company built for the era of AI and Bitcoin. We acquire durable, cash-generative businesses, strengthen them through technology and operational improvement, and hold them indefinitely. Unlike traditional private equity, we have no fund-expiration date or obligation to sell. Instead, we build a long-term compounding platform designed to grow free cash flow per share and responsibly build a Bitcoin treasury.

As the company scales, so does our audience. ORANGE JUICE gets featured regularly in press, podcasts, and long-form written commentary. And we speak directly to a growing base of email subscribers and followers across X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram, who care about capital allocation, monetary policy, and Bitcoin.

We are seeking a part-time Social Media Manager to turn that steady stream of source material into consistent, well-crafted content across email and social.

This is an opportunity for a strong writer with genuine fluency across platforms to own the day-to-day voice of a disruptive, fun and unconventional brand at an early and formative stage, working closely with our executive team rather than several layers removed from it.

The Role

As Social Media Manager, you will own the creation and posting of ORANGE JUICE content across our email newsletter, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram Stories. You will be supplied with raw material, including news articles, blog posts, podcast appearances, trending topics and memes, plus other coverage that ORANGE JUICE has been part of or that is relevant to the brand. You will shape everything into platform-native content that looks and reads as though it could only have come from ORANGE JUICE.

You will work directly with the executive team on approvals and timing, operating within our existing brand guidelines while bringing your own unique POV to the content. You will decide, for example, how a single podcast appearance translates to a newsletter, a post on X, a LinkedIn commentary piece, and an IG Stories sequence, and you will keep that pipeline running on a predictable cadence.

This part-time role within the company will be structured to become highly autonomous once a strong sense of the company and brand is gained.

The position is built with room to grow. As our audience and content volume increase, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand scope, shape our editorial calendar, and help define how ORANGE JUICE shows up – not only on social and in inboxes but also offline and in public.

The Responsibilities

•   Write and schedule emails to our subscriber list, including selection and framing of material worth their attention.

•   Write and publish posts on X, including standalone posts, threads, and quote posts drawn from our coverage and commentary.

•   Write and publish posts on X that speak to relevant trending topics, cultural moments and memes.

•   Write and publish LinkedIn content for an audience of operators, business owners, advisors, and institutional readers, including company page posts and longer-form commentary.

•   Produce TikTok posts and Instagram Stories, adapting written and video source material into short-form, engaging formats.

•   Translate provided source material, including articles, blog posts, and podcast appearances, into content tailored to each platform rather than cross-posting identical creative.

•   Maintain a content calendar and coordinate asset approval and publishing timing with the executive team, keeping work moving through review without last-minute scrambles.

•   Communicate urgency in the event of a trending topic, cultural moment or meme that requires immediacy to maintain relevancy and potential virality.

•   Apply our brand guidelines consistently across every channel, and flag unique cases where guidelines need exceptions or evolving.

•   Repurpose a single asset across multiple formats and channels, sequencing releases so each piece of coverage earns its full reach.

•   Monitor replies, comments, and mentions. Surface anything that needs a response from the team and escalate anything sensitive.

•   Track performance across channels and use insights to make recommendations to executive team.

•   Stay current on platform changes, new formats, and shifts in distribution, and adapt our approach accordingly.

•   Watch the macro and Bitcoin news cycle for moments where an ORANGE JUICE perspective is timely, and propose content in response.

•   Keep an organized, searchable archive of published content, source material, and approved assets.

The Requirements

Required

•   2+ years managing social accounts, a newsletter, or both for a brand, publication, or client roster. You have personally written and published content on a regular cadence, not only planned it.

•   Excellent short-form writing. You can take a dense idea and make it land in a post, a subject line, or fifteen seconds of on-screen text without flattening it into generic hype.

•   Basic macroeconomic literacy. You understand interest rates, inflation, monetary policy, and credit cycles well enough to write about them accurately and to know when a claim is beyond your confidence. We are not looking for an economist. We are looking for someone who will not misstate the fundamentals. The executive team will provide support and guidance.

•   Some working understanding of Bitcoin. You can follow a conversation about supply issuance, custody, treasury strategy, or the broader case for the network, and you know how the community talks to itself.

•   Breadth across platforms. Practical, current fluency with X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and email, including the formats, the norms, and what performs.

•   Range of voice. You can move between a LinkedIn audience of operators and institutional readers and a TikTok audience without sounding out of place in either.

•   Editorial judgment and accuracy. You do not publish unsubstantiated financial claims and you ensure approvals before posting.

•   Collaborative and comfortable inside an approval workflow. You can take direction from the executive team, incorporate feedback quickly, and build in enough lead time for review. You can also propose new and interesting ideas and approaches.

•   Self-directed in a part-time, remote role. You manage your own hours, hit publishing commitments, and communicate proactively when something slips or needs attention.

•   Comfort with analytics. You can read platform and email metrics, form a view about what they mean, and change your recommended approach based on them.

•   Hands-on design and video editing ability. You are experienced in tools like Canva, CapCut, and Figma and are self-sufficient in producing simple assets without a designer.

During the interview process, candidates should be prepared to share a portfolio of accounts or newsletters they have personally run, including metrics where available.

Preferred, but not required

•   Experience writing for a finance, fintech, macro, or Bitcoin-focused audience.

•   Experience with email platforms such as beehiiv, Substack, Klaviyo, or Mailchimp, including list growth and deliverability basics.

•   Experience running a LinkedIn company page alongside founder or executive profiles.

•   Experience in community management, including handling replies and DMs on behalf of a brand.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a part-time, fully remote engagement. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, structured as either an hourly rate or a monthly retainer based on an agreed scope and cadence. Hours are flexible around publishing commitments and brand team review windows. As an early member of a scaling company, you will have a clear path to expanded scope and responsibility as our content program and entire operation grows.
